BIBLE STUDY WEEK 8

Thriving in the Midst of Famine (Part 1)

Introduction

When our God created us in the beginning, He doesn't want each of us live in miserable life, as we all have seen in the world today. In stead, He first created a resourceful environment, fully supported all kinds of life, before He made the very human being, Adam and then his wife, Eve. In His Garden of Eden, there are always plenty of food needed for Adam and his wife live their abundantly lives with God, their Father and Creator.

Then why almost all of us, as human being, have been witnessing lives on earth is struggling to barely survive? Is poverty His will for us to live in? Is it because of our sins? Or is it that we don't have vision to live with?

Applied Principle

According to His revelation seen above, God wants His created men to live in worry and anxious - free lives. His desire for each of us is to live abundantly life faithfully to His Law, the given Word! This really means it is conditional on our obedience to Him. We have to make our own decision, whether to follow Him seriously or risk of being cut off or be let us go out of  the Garden. But we must take well note here that even though He gives each of us a choice, He tells us to choose Life and Blessing in order to lives as His originally intended! When He says to choose Life and Blessing to live by, He really means it, so we have to take it seriously - to be always in Him and His presence.
